What To Pack For Seattle

What to pack for Seattle

Spring break is almost here which means so is my Seattle trip! I am so excited to be going to a new place and for all the fun things that we have planned.

I wanted to give you guys an overview of how I packed for the trip. Typically, I am a HUGE over-packer! I also would rather have too many clothes or outfits than not enough. I tend to just pack multiple tops to every bottom and choose outfits once I’m at a location depending on how I feel that day. This method usually works out pretty well for me, but it doesn’t work with limited packing space. While packing for Seattle I actually packed via outfits for each day I would be there and then added about 2 extra sweaters. Packing by outfit definitely helped me not to over pack as much.

For this birthday trip we’ll be traveling Saturday-Tuesday and I will be going out to a nicer dinner one night for my birthday. I knew it was going to be cold and rainy so warmer layers was the goal.

You can see what I did on the trip and each outfit I wore here.

What To Pack For A Weekend In Seattle

  • 2 dresses – one for a nice dinner, one to layer
  • 2 pairs of jeans – just in case one pair got soaked
  • 4 sweaters
  • 3 jackets
  • 2 scarves
  • 2 pairs of tights
  • Hunter rain boots
  • Leather boots
  • Heeled booties – for nice dinner

I already planned out what we will be doing most of each day while we are there. Knowing our plan and activities helped make packing by outfits much easier. What’s your go to way for packing?
