What I Read In September 2021

I read some amazing books this month! One five star, two four stars, and two three. One was for the book club which was just so fun!

People We Meet on Vacation by Emily Henry

5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Everything about this book is amazing! I love friends too lovers stories, and this one checks every box. The tension between Poppy and Alex is there every step and you just are rooting for them. I laughed and cried. I will definitely be reading every book Emily Henry writes.

Talking as Fast as I Can: From Gilmore Girls to Gilmore Girls (and Everything in Between) by Lauren Graham

4/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Such a great solid memoir. It’s not dramatic or anything but just solid. If you’re a fan of Gilmore Girls Lauren mostly talks about her experience there and it’s just heart warming. It brings back all the nostalgia and I loved hearing some behind the scenes of the show. I love Lauren in parenthood too so just all around fun read.

The Last Thing He Told Me by Laura Dave

4/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was the perfect mystery for someone who doesn’t usually read this genre. Normally mystery’s are too scary for me and this was just mostly suspenseful. It had enough twists and turns to keep you very interested too. I could not put it down!

The Library by Bella Osborne

3.5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️💫

This was such a cute read! While I know the plot was about saving the library it was very drawn out and that part of the story did not feel very important. The characters are amazing and what makes the book a fun read is their relationship. You just fall in love with them.

Thank you NetGalley for letting me read the ebook.

Evvie Drake Starts Over by Linda Holmes

3/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is a great read! I wanted to call it a feel good read, but I don’t know if it’s classified as that since it does deal with some heavier topics. Overall though you rooted for Eevie, Andy, and Dean the entire way through!

I did the audiobook Talking As Fast & it was so good- it’s narrated by Lauren Graham… and yes, she reads it incredibly fast. I’m only halfway through People We Meet on Vacation and not loving it- I’m hoping it picks up!

Eeek, the first two books you mentioned are two of my favorites ever. I was so lucky to read an ARC of PWMOV back in March and I just fell in love with Alex and Poppy’s story. It’s precious. Emily Henry is a phenomenal author. And I’ve listened to the audiobook for TAFAIC probably… 4 or 5 times at this point? Lauren narrates it and it’s become such a comfort listen for me. Great wrap-up!
