What I Read in June 2021

Does this book go with a better place to read it? I started the month of June off on our Greece honeymoon reading Beach Read on a Greek island beach. It was perfection! This month I only have 5 books to share with y’all.

Beach Read by Emily Henry

5/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This book is the rom com I didn’t know I needed! ♥️ When you hear about this book or see the cover or read the title Beach Read, you have a certain idea in mind of what the book is going to be like. It’s nothing like that. Nothing at all! But perfect in every single way! I laughed, and cried! Even finishing the last chapter I was crying because it was perfect and over all at once. This book has been hyped over and over and while I feel like that ruins books usually it’s worth it for this one!

The A to Z of Us by Hannah Doyle

4/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐

This book was so cute! By the end I was totally in love! At first I was a little nervous if I was going to like it because it jumps straight into Date A and how the main characters/love interests meet. I almost wanted a little more background to begin with, but as I kept reading you get the background for both of them and fall in love with them as they fall for each other. Super super cute!

Thank you netgalley and HQ digital for letting me read this ebook.

Little Beach Street Bakery by Jenny Colgan

3/5 ⭐⭐⭐

This book follows Polly a woman who lived in a city and then has some life troubles and ends up in a small island town. While the characters are very cute and you do like them I thought the book was just okay. This is my third Jenny Colgan book and I didn’t like this as much as The Bookshop on the corner. Still a cute read over all, but not my favorite.

The Diary of Darcy J. Rhone (Darcy & Rachel #0.5) by Emily Giffin

3/5 ⭐⭐⭐

Short, sweet, and to the point! I love Darcy and Rachel’s characters. It’s fun to get a little insight into Darcy and just to read something with them again.

The Idea of You by Robinne Lee

4/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐

My heart!! I just finished listening to the audio version and I already miss this book.

What a romance!! So so so incredibly steamy and heartfelt. So much heart and soul in the book. It’s basically completely written for women over 30. This book follows an older woman who falls in love with a younger boy in a boy band. You can’t see how their romance works but man does it and yet it doesn’t all at the same time.

I wish I would have read the book instead of listened.
