If you are an avid reader of Moo’s Musing then you I love thrift store shopping. Scouring the stores for an amazing find never gets old to me. I live for an amazing find at an even better price. Whenever I travel I look up thrift stores in the area, and I never leave a place without hitting up a few. I’ve found a Marc Jacobs top, my pink hunter boots, and even my Marc Jacobs purse…all from different thrift stores!
I’ve recently become a pretty avid online shopper lately as well. Mostly searching through the sale sections, and always aiming to find a code for free shipping. So when thredUP reached out for a collaboration I knew I couldn’t pass it up. If you haven’t heard of thredUP before they are an online store that sells high quality secondhand clothes at amazing prices. Their website is categorized in some pretty amazing ways with a designer collection, new with tags, or just by category.
Over this past week I have posted two different outfits with what I scored from thredUP and I bet that you didn’t even have a clue that I was wearing secondhand clothes! Both this studious outfit and my recent valentines day outfit feature sweaters and a skirt from thredUP. Both of the sweaters that I bought were from the new with tags section and are from LOFT. I also bought two J Crew skirts, one of which was the pink one you see below and the above white Aztec shirt from LOFT as well. Overall, I was pretty thrilled with my thredUP experience. The only thing that was a little bit of a bummer was their descriptions. The sweaters weren’t listed as 3/4 sleeves but I could tell from the photos. I chatted with a representative and asked and was told they wouldn’t be since they weren’t listed, but it was pretty obvious by the photo. This didn’t bother me at all since I assumed they would be quarter sleeves, but it would have been nice to have in the details they listed. Other than that I loved working with them! New clothes at a discounted price is always an amazing thing.
Another part of thredUP is the selling your clothes feature. They will sent you a bag, you fill it, ship it back, and then they pay you depending on the items you gave them. If you are in need of a closet clean out this is a great way to make money for your own used clothes.
You can also use code JCREW50 for 50% off first-time orders, discount up to $50!
Have you ever purchased or sold to thredUP? What was your experience?
While this post is sponsored all thoughts and opinions are my own. #secondhandfirst
