Every vacation always feels like an excuse to buy new clothes. Heading to the beach? New bathing suits and cover ups. Traveling as a tourist? New walking shoes. Seeing somewhere new? I go for new breathable dresses. Here’s all I’ve bought so far for my summer vacation. It’s so exciting to think of what you’ll do on vacation and I love imagining the pictures I’ll get to take. I always try to find pieces I can wear other times of the year, or that are inexpensive and worth the one time buy.
I’m starting out with two pieces that were actually from summers prior. These shorts have been seen on the blog a few times in the past (here and here) but I am still a huge fan of them. Old Navy still carries them, and I’ve linked another similar pair below. For my fellow petite readers these are actually children shorts (shocking I know). I find that shorts can be easier found in the kids department and wear anything from a 10 on up.
Similar to the shorts this gingham tank has been on the blog before. It’s easy to throw on and for sure keeps you cool during summer. It’s from SheIn and if you keep reading til the end you might just find a coupon code *hint**hint* 😉
And another gingham shirt because we all know I can’t resist! This one is from J Crew Factory but is sadly sold out. I linked the same shirt but different pattern below and a similar one.
The white short saga has come to an end! I never knew finding white jeans or in this case shorts could be so difficult. These are Levi’s are the first pair of this brand I have ever owned. I’m in a 24 and they were still a little baggy. After washing them in hot water though they fit perfect! And I can’t forget to mention they are not see through at all. Who would think that would be the hardest part about finding a good pair of white denim. Why are so many see through?! Who wants to walk around in see through pants?
This top is another great SheIn gift! It’s going to be coming to a blog post near you soon! It’s super light weight and a little boxy but I think that’s perfect for hot summer months. It isn’t lined so in this photo I have a cami on but I think it would be super cute with a bralette too.
Moving on to dresses now. I love packing dresses and skirts while traveling as it makes an outfit simple but so cute for a picture. No need to plan a full outfit for a day and a dress can take up less room in a suitcase sometimes.
This ruffle one is again courtesy of SheIn. It’s a nice mauvey pink color and has a fun little tie back feature.
I love this dress! I totally plan on wearing it more than just for summer or vacation. I think it totally is work appropriate as well. From SheIn this dress is actually a deep v in the front. My mama helped me add a few stitches to make it a little more modest. It would totally work open with a bralette or cami as well.
And I saved the best for last! I have been waiting for this dress and so so hoping it would fit when it arrived! While the button front dresses are super in this summer I really wanted something different to wear. I am a huge fan of the cut out trend that is happening right now. I think it’s a fun little feminine summer detail that done well can be classy and not too wild. When I saw this dress from Loft I wanted it so bad. I had to wait and keep checking for my size to be restocked and jumped on it the moment it was. So if you’re size isn’t in stock don’t give up hope!
Now onto the SheIn discount code! 15% off with code Q1moosmusing15 valid for the US market until June 30th. SheIn graciously gifted each of their pieces for my summer adventures.
