For our last full day of in Seattle Lizzie and I packed so many different things in. We took the monorail up to a different part of Seattle which was super easy to navigate and it dropped us off right where we wanted to be. All in that area was the Space Needle, the Chihuly Glass Gardens, and the EMP museum. The Space Needle was fun, but really windy. I think I expected it to be more like the top of the Empire State Building and it was not nearly that cool.
However, the glass gardens and EMP museum were literally the best! The gardens were so beautiful and it was incredible to see the things that were made by hand. I didn’t really know what the EMP museum was going to be, but it was really cool! They had different pieces from old movies and different rooms based on genres. I really thought it was worth going to.
That last day we were blessed with glorious weather! It didn’t really even sprinkle or get drizzly until around dinner. We were thrilled to have the sun as we trekked all over. We ended our day by seeing the first Starbucks down in Pikes Place.
This trip was seriously so incredible. It made me wish I had traveled for other spring breaks.
Looks like you had a fun time! I adore Chihuly’s work. We have some on display in one of our museums in OKC. It’s pretty amazing, huh?
