It’s here! The Nordstrom Anniversary sale is upon us! If you have no idea what I’m talking about I’m a little honored because every blogger is talking about it. To be totally honest how much this sale is talked about is very overwhelming! I’ve been waiting and waiting to be able to see it and the pressure to shop it right away is a bit much. While shopping it with a credit card for early access is 100% worth it there will probably still be things once the sale goes live to the public on July 20th. However, be aware that some of the good stuff does sell out. So if you have that credit card it’s time to get your shop on!
I’m actually a huge fan of The Nordstrom Sale. I think it’s a great time to stalk up on basics and pieces for the next season. At times they also discount some big ticket items that if you’ve been eyeing is time to pounce on. For example, I recently bought a Patagonia Nano Puff at the REI sale. It’s an item that rarely goes on sale and is SO good! I’d recommend it to anyone who wants one. It’s on sale at Nordstrom right now. Buy it people! Honestly if you’ve been looking to get any Patagonia items now is the time while they are on sale.
Also included in The Nordstrom Sale is the famous pieces from last year like the furry pull over every blogger had and every brand tried to copy. I snagged a chenille sweater that’s included in the sale. This fabric was popular last year and I kicked myself for not buying it so when I saw one included I added it to my cart. It’s just kinda lucky that some pieces from last year are included. Obviously they expect them to be just as popular this year so if you missed out buy it now.
As far as beauty items go I think sales are the best time to get small sample sizes to try things out. That travel section at sephora gets me everytime. I love when the sale includes the travel kits because that’s how I like to try out a product. So if you see something that you’ve wanted to try now is the time!
Myself, personally, always buys booties when the Anniversary Sale hits. I wear booties year round, practically everyday. I am super hard on my boots and am constantly looking for new ones. I always love a good sale on cardigans and sweaters as I prepare for fall. Being that I don’t have hundreds of dollars to spend I’m honestly pretty picky about what I buy from the sale. Once I get my items in I’ll do a whole post about what I bought, but for now I’m linking things I think everyone can use. I also like to link items that are affordable and I would buy if it was something I needed.
My best advice would be to look at your closet and see what you need for the coming year. Whether that’s new sweaters, boots, or a designer bag pick what you need ahead of time. This will help you keep to a budget. Another tip would be to just buy it if you want it. Nordstrom has free shipping and free returns and the most generous return policy ever. So buy it and return it, rather than change it selling out.
