Fearfully and Wonderfully Made

Confession…I loved this dress online, and on others but was really nervous about getting it for myself. Being tiny sometimes dresses or shirts without any shape or structure do not look good on me. They can make me look even tinier or in this case make me look pregnant. I still feel like it billows funny on me (my mother continually tells me otherwise) but I absolutely love this gingham dress. It has all the right things for a summer dress. It’s super lightweight and airy, bell sleeves, and bows. If you’re a long time reader or just even the last few months you know there are certain things that just add up to what I love. Gingham and bows is just some of them! Just a tip the dress isn’t lined. While I was taught to always wear shorts under a dress you definitely need too or some sort of slip. It isn’t see through by any means but there’s no lining.

Isn’t it amazing how one piece of clothing fits everyone so differently. All based on size and body type. And even when someone may fit into a category of body type, everyone in that category is different. It’s crazy how unique every single person is. Even knowing how the Bible says in Psalm 139 For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.” I’m still amazed at how uniquely God formed each of us. That each person on the earth, including myself, is fearfully and wonderfully made. All with our different shapes, sizes, and quirks. Which maybe is another piece of why fashion and style is so intriguing. Yes, one piece of clothing can be styled different ways with other accessories or products. Yet, one piece of clothing can even just look a totally different style based on the person. My sister and I are complete opposites in everything! I could wear a dress with a leather jacket and she could too and I’ll look girly and she’ll look all punk. It’s just a matter of the way we carry ourselves and the way we were made. So intriguing to me!

That was totally a random tangent from my mind today! LOL This dress and how it fit me sparked some random thoughts. Y’all just got a taste of Mariah’s mind and the many rabbit trails it goes on. But anyway! Go get this dress! Totally worth it and only $15!
