Fresh pine, people bustling, chopping the tree is here! For the last few years my family has gone to this tree farm where we get to pick out and cut down our very own tree. I think that is an especially cool tradition! Especially since we live in Southern California where there isn’t much free grown land near my town. We always go the day after Thanksgiving since we also start decorating the house with all the Christmas stuff that day. By going to cut down the tree it really feels like it kicks off the holiday season in my house. This year we searched for a tree that was short and fat.
On Thanksgiving and the day after, it was actually a little cold and drizzly. Of course being that I rarely get to pull out my Hunter Boots you know that I obviously took the opportunity since we would be walking through the dirt. I also wanted an outfit that felt at least a little Christmasy so I added my red scarf for a pop of color. I was just warm enough for the little cooler weather we finally got!
