Since I don’t wear denim to work, and I still haven’t really figured out the whole slacks thing colored pants have been my go to. Plus they are somewhat more in my comfort zone than slacks. I’ve been rotating between these olive ones, black jeans, maroon, and plum ones. I really do need to expand my horizons though! I do love this outfit. I love blue button up blouses. This one has like white strips on it to make it a little gingham, but the camera just didn’t pick up on that. I just think a blue stripped blouse is a good classic piece that everyone should have.

October has been such a busy month! I can’t believe it’s already half way through. Is it just me or does everyone have a busy October? I feel like once September is over the end of the year comes so fast. My weekends are booked through the beginning of December with weddings I’m working, or events with friends. It’s crazy how the holidays comes around and life just seems so busy. I don’t know what that happens though. I don’t really feel like its the fact that the holidays are here, rather than life just seems to pick up. It’s all passing by so fast.

Lately, I’m trying to focus on and enjoy each thing happening. Since I am so busy and things are just flying past me I think it’s really important to be present in each moment. To enjoy the time with friends and family and not let it wiz past me without noticing it. I’ve been guilty of that in the past, and it’s something that I feel like is a constant reminder. No one I think has it mastered to live in the moment. Sometimes you succeed, sometimes you don’t. However, I think it’s a good goal to be striving for. Especially at this time of year.

  1. I have green jeans this color and wear them with ivory, light blue, beige, chocolate brown, burnt orange, burgundy and white. They are so versatile. The shirt is very cute too!

I totally get the wear-colored-pants-to-work thing! I’ve gotten to tired of wearing the same work pants every day and need to find a good alternative. This idea is perfect!

By the way – I LOVE your blog. Your pictures are stunning and you do a great job writing about your topics!

So cute! I need to get me some colored pants too! Love the color contrast…would never have thought green would go so well with blue, but it looks so good the way you’ve put everything together!
