5 years! I can’t believe I’ve been doing this thing called blogging for 5 years now! I am so excited to say that I have stuck with this small hobby of mine and still totally love it. While I haven’t always made it a priority or tried to grow or monetize it as I could have I still absolutely love it. I think I can easily fall into the comparison game as I look at other bloggers who have been creating for just as long or even less than I have and are far larger with a far greater following. I have to constantly remind myself why I do this and while yes numbers help make everything easier it isn’t my sole purpose.

I blog because I love to create. I love to make pretty things and to find the small beautiful things in life. I love to connect with my readers. I love hearing your stories and how you may relate to mine in some way. I love being the one to help you find a great deal on a piece of clothing or find a foundation that works for your skin type. You, reading this right now, is the reason I blog. While you may never have commented on a post (and maybe you should 😉 here’s a post about why I need you too) and I may have never interacted with you I also can see your clicks and views. That’s where numbers do kind of matter. So thank you! Thank you for reading, thank you for coming back, thank you for being intrigued by my life, and thanks for shopping the looks and links I post. I couldn’t do all of this without you.

With all of that being said I am working on trying so much harder at making this a priority and really really going for it. Starting with a whole new site design! If you haven’t noticed there’s a new logo, new colors, pretty much new everything! This site design should really make everything a whole lot easier to use. I’ve gone through and categorized blog posts, and outfits so that way you can click the menu at the top and find a list of exactly what style or inspiration you are looking for. The homepage should lead new comers a little bit more with where to click and where to go if they are visiting for the first time. I have re done my about page to make it a little more descriptive and fun. I’ve also combined all the shop pages with sale posts and gift guides up in the menu too. There may still be some kinks to work out as I start to see how everyone interacts with the design but I am super excited about it! If you notice any problems or something that you can’t find, or something takes you too long to get to please let me know! This site is here for you and I want to make it as easy as possible for y’all.

Now go explore!!

Congrats on 5 years blogging! My 5 year blog anniversary is coming up this week too. I can completely relate to comparing myself to other bloggers who started blogging around the same time I did and are further along with their blogs. I love the site design.
