It’s Not Supposed To Be This Way

I love Lysa Terkeurst! She is one of my favorite authors and I was so excited to open this book as a Christmas present. I loved her book Uninvited and I highly recommend that one as well.

This book deals with how life can look very different than we expect (can I get an Amen?!) and how we can trust God’s goodness during those times.

Another really awesome thing about this book is Proverbs 31 ministries just started an online book study through it. This is week 1 so it’s not to late to hop on over there and join!

Welcome To Adulting

I hate the word “adulting” so much. We all have to grow up one day…get over it.

However, JP has recently become one of my favorite pastors and when I heard he wrote a book I knew I wanted to read it. JP used to (he recently took a job as lead pastor at a new church) head up a young adults ministry called The Porch in Texas. Their messages and podcast are seriously so convicting and applicable. I’m excited to see how this book is.

Love Does

Our daily life can get very mundane and we, as humans, are creatures of habit. This book is all about how the ordinary of daily life can really be what makes it extraordinary. That love can really change everything and actions can be totally different when done out of love.

Anxious For Nothing

Anxiety, stress, depression. These are all words we are so used to hearing in our world today. Our lives are full of stress but it’s what we do that matters. This book is all about finding a sense of calmness and how we can find peace in our chaotic lives.

I’m aiming to read 2 books this month, Verity and Conviction! Love seeing what other people are reading. Trying to get into reading more. I love it so much but never think to grab a book.

Same! I read so much as a kid and now it rarely happens. I definitely want to try and do it more often.
